K-type Thermocouple

What is a K-type Thermocouple

As a temperature sensor, the K-type thermocouple is commonly used in combination with display instruments, recording instruments and electronic regulators.

It can directly measure the surface temperature of liquids, vapors, gases and solids within the range of 0℃ to 1300℃ in various production processes.

A typical K-type thermocouple mainly consists of a temperature-sensing element, mounting fixture and terminal box.

Advantages of K-type Thermocouple

1.High measurement accuracy. The thermocouple is in direct contact with the measured object, free from interference of intermediate media.

2.Wide measuring range. Standard models enable continuous measurement from -50℃ to +1600℃. Special types can reach as low as -269℃ (e.g., gold-iron/nickel-chromium thermocouple) and up to +2800℃ (e.g., tungsten-rhenium thermocouple).

3.Simple structure and easy operation. It is generally made of two dissimilar metal wires, with no restrictions on size and installation form. Equipped with an outer protective sleeve for convenient use.
