How to Prolong the Service Life of Heating Tubes？

Heating tubes vary greatly in quality on the market. Their service life depends not only on inherent product quality, but also largely on operating methods. Here are practical ways to extend their service span.

1.Fasten terminals with two nuts oppositely during wiring. Avoid excessive force to prevent loose screws and tube damage.

2.Store heating tubes in dry warehouses. Measure insulation resistance with a megohmmeter if the surface gets damp after long storage. Dry the tube in a 200℃ drying oven if the resistance is lower than 1MΩ/500V.

3.Fully submerge the heating section into heating medium to avoid overheating damage caused by poor heat dissipation. Keep terminal parts outside insulation layers or heaters to prevent overheating failure.

4.Supply voltage shall not exceed 10% of the rated voltage marked on tubes. Heat output will drop if the working voltage is too low.

Special attention shall be paid to the second tip. Direct use of damp heating tubes may cause short circuits. These measures effectively extend service life and ensure operational safety.
