Temperature Detectable Cartridge Heaters

Structure

This temperature detectable cartridge heater adopts a metal tube as the outer shell (stainless steel / red copper available). Spiral electric heating alloy wire (nichrome / iron-chromium alloy) is evenly arranged axially along the tube center. The gaps are fully filled and compacted with magnesium oxide powder featuring excellent insulation and thermal conductivity. Both ends of the tube are sealed with silica gel, and a temperature sensing element (K/E type thermocouple or thermistor optional) is installed inside the heating tube.

Application

Widely used for heating occasions with strict temperature tolerance requirements. If rapid temperature rise is needed, the electric power can be increased accordingly.

Precautions for Use

1.Permissible working conditions of the element:A. Relative air humidity ≤ 95%, no explosive or corrosive gas.B. Working voltage shall not exceed 1.1 times of the rated value; the shell must be effectively grounded.C. Insulation resistance ≥ 1MΩ; Dielectric strength: 2KV/1min.

2.The cartridge heater shall be properly positioned and fixed. The effective heating zone must be completely immersed in liquid or solid metal. Dry firing is strictly prohibited. If scale or carbon deposits form on the tube surface, clean it thoroughly before reuse to avoid poor heat dissipation and shortened service life.

3.When heating fusible metals or solid nitrate, alkali, asphalt, paraffin, etc., reduce the working voltage first. Raise to rated voltage only after the medium is completely melted.

4.When heating air, arrange the elements in a staggered and even layout to ensure good heat dissipation.
